This detail refers to the Correlated Colour Temperature, often also simply called the CCT. It is measured in Kelvin (K) and indicates the hue of the light emitted by a light source. The lower the value, the warmer the tone of the light will be, tending towards red and yellow, whilst as it increases, the colder the light will be, tending towards blue. In general, a warmer light (2700K) favours the relaxation of the eyes and thus may be preferable for home or catering environments, whilst colder light is more suitable for work environments. There is no standard – in fact, you can choose the shade you prefer given that most of the 9010novantadieci range is offered in 3 different colour temperatures: 2700K (warm), 3000K (medium) and 4000K (cold). The CRI (Colour Rendering Index) is an international index that indicates the colour rendering of a luminous body and the naturalness and quality of its tones. The higher the value, the more the light will be pleasing and natural. 9010 offers a higher value than CRI85 and CRI90 for all indoor items, whilst outdoor items are offered in CRI80.

Lumens (lm) are the unit in which the luminous flux produced by a lighting body is measured, representing its brightness. This value is useful in assessing how much an environment will be illuminated, however the direction of the light and whether it is direct or indirect (reflected) must also be considered.

The lighting value of an environment is the lux (lx), being lumen x square metre. This value can be measured or estimated using software with a lighting calculation, in which photometry is utilised to simulate the presence of light. For certain environments – such as public places, airports and workplaces – there are specific regulations in force that indicate the necessary illuminance value and how the light must be distributed. Yet, for most environments – especially those in the home – you can decide how much to illuminate the spaces based on their function. We recommend respecting the following values:

• Bedroom: between 50 and 150 lux
• Corridors and passageways: between 100 and 150 lux
• Work and study areas: between 300 and 400 lux
• Kitchen: between 300 and 400 lux.

It is also a good idea to pay attention to how the light is distributed, to prevent contrasting in very bright places, creating areas of shadow in these environments, as well as ensuring that dedicated work areas have proper lighting.

These terms all describe various ways to change the colour temperature or tone of the light.

• Tuneable White indicates a LED light capable of changing its colour temperature, from cool to warm white.
• RGB indicates a LED light that can take on any colour, blending the three colours of Red, Green and Blue.
• RGBW (RGB White) indicates a LED light capable of taking on any colour, as well as offering the possibility of having white light separately.

The specifications of 9010 items contains information that indicates if an item is dimmable. If it is, then it is possible to use a control system to increase or decrease the light intensity to your liking.

CASAMBI is an interface for controlling your lighting via a convenient and practical application. Through a Bluetooth signal, directly connect the compatible drivers or dimmers, define groups and zones or even create settings that can vary according to need or the time of day.

Yes, 9010novantadieci materials are recyclable. In particular, CRISTALY® is recyclable together with gypsum materials, so it can be recycled together with plasterboard. BETALY® can be recycled with cementitious materials, whilst ALUMITE® can be recycled together with aluminium. It is important to remove the steel tabs and electrical components from the items before recycling them properly.

The items arrive with everything needed for installation. In the case of recessed items to be installed on masonry, an outer casing will be required. Low voltage items require a driver, to be selected from amongst those indicated. It is possible to order a base cover for outdoor items that include such an option.
